Two questions for you, is your car at stock ride height where ground clearance isn't as much of an issue and what are your emissions regulations like?

then if you want to spend a lot, and get the most power, go long tubes.

if you want cheap bang for your buck, find some used shortys.

What are your plans for the car as far as horsepower goals?

well i would love to do every possible to this car but since i dont know much about the big mods i definately dont want to do it myself. and theres really not any shops around here that do stuff like, turbos, cams, and all that stuff, but for now i would like to get what i can. but if i got headers i would spend the extra to get whats better, what brand is good for stocker lt1's

Kooks are the best brand on the market right now, but they will cost you close to double versus a budget brand such as Pacesetter.

jet hot or hooker (basically the same) are the better mid range brands. Kooks is stainless which is an advantage, PaceSetter is definatly cheap but lots of people use them but in some cases you pay for what you get. I would at least get the Jet Hots or Hooker.
