headers on a '79 350
how hard is it to take the oe headers off and put some jegs headers on? i was lookin in the engine bay and it seems really cramped... im thinkin about gettin their complete dual exhaust kit.

I have a 79z and thought about this too. I assume this is a complete kit. Like any job like this having the right tools is important. If you have never done one before i would expect a lot longer time than usual. The bolts are probably rusted on so getting them off without breaking anything would be key.
The stockers are called exhaust manifolds, not headers. On my 70, the bolt behind the #8 primary was the big PITA. You'll need a short wrench and patience. It also didn't have all the extra emissions BS that was crammed under the hood by 79 either.
oh and i had called an exhaust shop a couple years ago to get headers and exhaust, and the guy at the shop said they cant put headers on this car... something about the suspension being in the way, or not enough room. is this guy stupid or am i really gonna run into these problems?
