Which Header should I buy?

I have a 2000 m6 z28...stock....wanting 2 put new exhaust on her.....im only 19 so I dont have the deepest pockets.....nor do I wanna waste a ton of money on an exhaust....I was thinking of Long Tubes w/ catted y-pipe, then custom 3'' pipes dumped in front of the rear wheels w/ bullet type mufflers....who makes headers that arent sh*t, but wont break my back..also would that set up sound ok?...dont really care about huge power gains..not modding my motor just want it 2 sound bad a$$.....thanks

pacesetters r the best bang for the buck, they offer a catted y-pipe aswell. you could check out texas-speed, they offer a header/ catted Y-pipe combo for 700 bucks.

if your ditching your flowmaster and doing the dumps with bullets you could easily forget the y-pipe and just do true duals. ? up to you

Non-deep pockets? Be patient and wait for a great deal on a used set.

Ya that makes sense.
For the price the equipment that would be needed and metal to practice on so he won't burn through and can actually run a decent bead, he could have bought a set of headers and had money to spare.

Its a shame PVC can't take the heat....

You do not need back pressure. That is a horrible myth. What you need is exhaust velocity.

Pacesetters are probably one of the cheapest offerings on the market and there is a catted y-pipe available for them.
