Has anyone fixed the jet hot slip fit primary?

What a lame design by Hooker/Jet Hot. After reading endless threads I tried using a 1 3/4" tbolt clamp and that did absolutely nothing. I've seen other posts recommending different kinds of sealants. Has anyone had any long term positive results with anything? The last option I can think of is to take the header off and notch the primary and try the tbolt clamp again.

Oh and anyone that doesn't think their slip fit is leaking, turn the car on and hold your fingers near the slip fit primary. You might be surprised.

I haven't heard mine leak in 10 years but I can understand where it could leak when cold. The way I understand it is that the expansion from heat should seal it up good. I figure if it were leaking I would also see a bunch of carbon in the area.

3" band clamp. no more leaky leaky just overlap the joint and it will contour to the pipe once you torque it down
