GMMG vs other catbacks

I've been looking at catbacks and was wondering how well the GMMG system compares to others performance wise. I know it produces the best sound around, but does it flow as well as systems such as corsa and magnaflow? Does it sacrifice any power for sound?
Thanks,
Jeff

Well its 3" mandrel bent tubeing, just like the others, it has 2 mufflers rather than 1 so you would think it flows a little better and they says it dyno tuned to improve hp. And since GMMG has been specializeing in building high hp F-body cars for years now, you'd think they know what they are doing and are pretty damn good at it. Im sure it outflows all other types of exhaust except true duals. Even if it doesn't flow as well as either borla or corsa, the sound alone will make up for it.

the difference between the worst flowing and the best flowing exhaust is only about 5hp...

so basically...you'll never know the difference...

buy it for the sound...material...and cost

I found mine over on LS1tech.com for $450 with the famous oval tips. I got a hellova deal. Just keep an eye out and you can too.

If you do a search using my name and GMMG or something to that effect youll find the huge thread I made on the GMMG. Its second to none for catbacks. I got mine for $500 with ovals, and I have used GMMG's customer service and its wonderful. Its nice to be able to deal with a small company that you can lean peoples first names and speak with them, then see them in magazine articles. LT1 PWR did a good job with his post.

Well i'm kinda stuck here on either the corsa or the gmmg. I know they both flow equally well and wont make any measurable differnece in HP. My only resource right now are sound files which i know dont do exhaust systems any justice. How do they sound in person?
Thanks.

Video clips can never do an exhaust system justice. But trust me, GMMG is the best sounding exhaust system available for f-body's, especially LT1's. GMMG+LT1=Audible sex. I almost got a hard on when i first fired it up after the install. Even my dad said "now thats the way a muscle car should sound". You will not be disapointed with the GMMG.

You will NOT be dissapointed with the GMMG exhaust. You will NOT be dissapointed with the GMMG exhaust.

I've said it twice, and Ill say it again...

You will NOT be dissapointed with the GMMG exhaust.

Peoplpe everywhere will be giving you compliments about the exhaust. Just think of it this way... if you do go with Corsa, thats great. But then when you will finally hear a GMMG exhaust in person, you will literally ask a stranger to kick you in the *** for your dumbheaded purchase... yeah, thats how much you'll want a GMMG after hearing it.

Corsa sound doesnt even come close to the GMMG. I'd bet it doesnt flow as well either.

not sure
but isnt corsa a straight through design anyways,
going through a muffler still can do somthing concering power but it can all equal out with the sharp bends made on the GMMG

either way both exhaust are really nice peices of equipment that flow VERY well

the only difference really is sound and well GMMG is top in that category
