GMMG or SLP TOTL

Hello all,

Wanted some advise on whether I should stick with my SLP TOTL or should I go for the GMMG. I really like the way my exhaust sounds but I must admit that I am not really crazy about the two pipes on one side. Is the GMMG louder than my current exhaust.

Right now I have RK Sport Mid-lengths and a Random Tech cat. I would stick with the Cat for Emissions reasons. Also, do you think I could sell my current exhaust, it is in immaculate shape. What do you think is a fair price?

Thanks for the input!

Based on sound clips, I really like the sound of the 2OTL. If not for the 2OTL part, I probably would have bought one that was recently on EBay. I just wasn't real crazy about the appearance. GMMG is now at the top of my list of potential cat-backs. It's actually the only one on the list at the moment. I'm supposed to go listen to one with Kooks long tubes pretty soon. I'll let you know what I think, but I haven't actually heard a 2OTL in person.

The SLP exhaust is very nice, sounds great, and is well built. I just am getting tired of the look. Being that my car is an auto and cruises at around 2100 rpm, I dont want to get stuck in the GMMGs drone area. Opinions of people that run it?

Maybe I should just spend my money on some Konis

I just found out I'm supposed to go listen to that exhaust tomorrow. I think the guy is going to take me for a spin. I'll let you know what I think, but I believe the guy is driving a convertible, so it could be difficult to discern drone. Personally, I haven't been able to find very many people that aren't happy with the GMMG and I've read very little about the exhaust producing a drone.

Did you have a chance to listen to the GMMG today? Curious to know what your thoughts were. Thanks!

I did check it out. It sounded very good, imo. It was definitely loud and had no rasp, or at least what I would consider rasp. I would also say there was no drone at highway speeds. It sounded good in the car, which was convertible with the top up. The guy had a small cam in the car, I'm not sure which one, with Kooks stepped headers and their catted Y-Pipe. The chambered exhausts look interesting under the car. His tips hung kind of low, which I guess could be manipulated via messing with the hangers. I think he planned to tuck them up some. I'm not sure whether I would get the oval tips. I probably wouldn't as long as you had the option of getting them later.

Jut change the muffler out and spend the rest of what you would blow on a GMMG on other mods.

Got GMMG on mine. Honestly, if you are going to run this exhaust, run some high flow cats with it too. It sounds SOO MUCH BETTER!!!! Without the cats you will get a little drone around 2,000 RPM but not much.

Where are you located?

Reason I ask is because I am going to be buying another F body with a GMMG already on it. I am thinking about parting out my car and just selling it for whatever I can get, and guess what, I have a GMMG on my car. So, if you are willing to trade with some cash for the SLP TOTL I would take mine off and put yours on my car so there is something on there when I sell it. Just LMK.

I love my 2OTL. I'll agree it's wierd having the exhaust exit on only one side, but I can appreciate it being the original exhaust for my car.

Soundclip on my fquick in link.
