well, like i said, the straight through mufflers have a nice deep tone. but after nearly 10 years i wanted to mix it up.

i think the flowmaster ive got has more of a 60's muscle car sound to it...

I had flowmasters and I liked the sound but hated the popping every time I shifted. So i bought a used magnaflow for 65 bucks shipped. I definitely noticed a difference with the magnaflow in hp over the flowmaster. Plus no more popping!!

ive heard LT1s pop like you are talking about, but im not sure why they do that.

my car pops when i rev it when its cold. it did it when i had my slp muffler and it still does it with the flowmaster....but it has never done it while driving.

Yeah I had the popping too, hated it, glad to hear it will go away. I am looking for a more throaty sound, going in the morning to have the magnaflow welded up. As for the lifetime warenty, bought it used, so oh well. Thanks for all the feed back.

if you dont have cats, a magnaflow race muffler would be bad ***!

ive put a set of 6" race bullets on my caddy and it sounds great.

I have a magnaflow setup with no cats and mid-tube headers. It really sounds amazing. Having the ORY really made it a lot louder
