that will take out some rasp, yes. Otherwise look at replacing it with something like a hooker exhaust, or getting some cone inserts to help quiet it down a little too

Yea, Hooker and I think Spintech make quieter mufflers, depending on the model of muffler.

I would just put a small muffler in place of the cat. Personally, I think the Hooker is just as loud as the flowmaster, I've never heard the Spintechs though.

The Hooker is definitely quieter when creeping in and out of the driveway.

if you want to tame it down, DONT get a spintech. I mean they sound good and all but even before my motor swap with just the bolt-ons it was loud. Im looking at magnaflow or hooker to put on.

The cone insert also might help as well. My friend has a 240sx with an RB25 (skyline motor) and has straight pipe. It was loud as hell and he put a cone insert and it did mellow it down some

Thumbs up

install earplugs in your wife's ears at 6:00am, and your neighbors if necessary

-problem solved.....

maybe you should get resonator exhaust tips. they will quiet your exhaust. my cousin had wide open pipe on his s10, got pulled over too many times, put on a resonator tip, and he doesnt get pulled any more.
