flowmaster 40s 40buks new
lt1s use a Y pipe; 2 pipes merge into one, then they split back into 2 tail pipes after the muffler. the factory lt1 muffler is located behind the rear end, they have 1 inlet on the passenger side, and 2 outlets, 1 on the drivers side and 1 on the passengers side, each leading to an exhaust tip.
your simplest option would be to eliminate the stock muffler, and use 1 of the 40's and only have a single exhaust exit on the drivers side of the car.
in order to use both mufflers, you would have to fabricate a true dual exhaust system. its not easy however it can be done, and there are pictures on the board to help you out should you decide to go that route, but be aware that in the long run it will probably cost more fabbing up an exhaust then its worth to save like 40 bucks on the muffler.
personally, id throw 1 of them on there, have 1 exit, no big deal. then save up for a set of longtube heads, a nice Y pipe, and a quality cat-back exhaust made just for your car.
good luck,
