I'm getting a new engine for my 93 z28 and and I'm planning my exhaust to put on once I get it I'm going with a 330 hp long block. I'm wanting to put jet hot lt headers with high flow cats true dual 3 inch pipe all the way with mangnaflows dumped at rear axils or maybe slp lm is the 3 inch pipe two big for that little of hp?

 

No one know if 3 inch exhaust pipe is to big for 330 hp

 

Once you get past the collectors, there is no such thing as a "too big" exhaust. May not require that much, but it isn't going to hurt anything. For 330HP at the flywheel, a pair of 2.5" pipes will be more than adequate.

But what if you decide on additional mod's for even more HP in the future?

I'm running dual 3" pipes on an engine that makes 800HP at the flywheel.

But it doesn't make any more HP than the 4" Mufflex catback I had on there before the duals.
