exhaust help??

alright so i got a 95 z28, and it has the stock exhaust on it. I still have my v6 camaro, which has a magnaflow 2.5" catback. should i put that on the z28? would it sound different or perform even if that's stock size on the z28? Also, any opinions on the hooker super competition catback? I was thinking of getting that. I heard flowmaster catback sucks, but idk about the other mufflers. Some insight would be cool, thanks.

Re: exhaust help??

The intermediate on the Z28 is 2.75 inch, most of the catbacks are 3 inch, so a 2.5 would be a step backwards on the LT1.

FWIW, I purchased a used muffler at a swap meet and was going to buy the intermediate pipe and use my old tips, etc. When I priced all the parts and the time welding, etc, i just said screw it and bought a complete kit. Flowmaster, magnaflow, hooker catbacks you can find new for 300-350 on the net; they occasionally pop up used on ebay for 1/2 that.

oh I didn't know they were 2.75. thanks for that info. Which exhaust would you recommend? Do you know how hooker sounds? Is flowmaster as bad as people say?
