Electric cut-out?

A few questions for you guys running electric cut-outs. Do they seal up nice when their closed or sound like a small exhaust leak? Are they pretty dependable if the car does not see rain or winters? Does it stop on it's own when you open or close it? I already have a regular cut-out unstalled. Can I just use that one and install the electric part? Are the bolts on a regular cut-out removable if I need longer ones? Thanks for any help.

I have an electric qtp cutout. A single cat-back with 1997 383 - D1 Lt1 motor. It seals fine. I fabricated my own pipe with the Y, and, a turn down before the axle. I ended up using 3/8 threaded rod pieces with lock-tite on nuts to secure. The fasteners do lossen up with time and heat cycle. I have to re-tighten up alot of the fasteners on the qtp and the mount @ least once a year. You do not want to overdrive the electric motor, but the electric feature is quite nice. Don't drive the car in winter. Hope this helps.

I've had the DMH unit on my car for a year, always seals up nice, and haven't had to re-torque anything. The bolts on the cutout were plenty long enough.
