Duals decible question
Duals decible question
I have been listening to every sound clip I can find of people's various dual setups to decide what I want to do. I have listneded to every one on here with bullets, magna flows, etc... as well as going to ls1sounds.com and manufatures websites and I still need help. I will be using the summit x pipe and I am currently running an open dump after cats. I like the sound it has now but I want to get it thru mufflers. The bullets are in the right price range, trying to stay under $40 per muffler, but I hear people on here say it is too loud. Not planning on running cats this time around but I mightif it will get me the sound I like.
Also I am NOT planning on dumping before axle with turndowns. I do like the look of no tail pipes so was planning on going over the axle and dumping before bumper. And an 847 will be going in place of the cc305 I am running now.
Thoughts, suggestions? As always I appreciate the help.

If you are just going to dump the duals right after the axle before the bumper, why bother going over the axle at all? It just makes it more complex and expensive.
At less than $40 per muffler, you are pretty much stuck with either bullets or chambered mufflers. I chose chambered mufflers and couldn't be more happy. They sound great.

My thought on going over the axel and then dumping was to lower the sound volume since everyone says the bullets are so loud. I figure if the sound has to travel further before it hits the concrete then it won't be quite as loud.
I looked and listened to chambered mufflers and heard some I liked and some I couldn't tell. Has anyone tried the Flowtech raptors? Those sounded pretty good for the price on their website. Or even the summit brand? I know these are not name choices but I promised the wife I was going to work on a budget since we have a baby on the way.
