Dual X Dumped Drone?? No cats.

Teke184, where are your vid clips again? I can't find them. I'm about to ditch my entire exhaust setup for Pacesetter LT's off road, w/ the TSP Dual X dumped w/ Sweet Thunder bullets...

I have a somewhat high tolerance to a loud exhaust. (don't really care about the neighbors @ 330 am... getting a beater soon.)

Drone?...... I'm thinking yes. My borla is kinda quiet w/ an open pipe and my SLP LT's clearance is pissin me off!... ... On that note, how is the clearance on the Dual X Dumped? I'm lowered BTW..

I've seen some pics on LS1teck of the Dual X dumps... it starts to hang low right before the rear axle. Right about the mufflers...

This first one is purfect!

^ this is all he said... It's in the dual FAQ thread in the External engine room in LS1tech.

Sorry guys this is all i have for now just showing my ground clearance off, 3" TD's flopro twisters with an X pipe and dumps, hopefully i'll get more pics up here soon of it and a sound clip.

remember i have a 233 cam

3" xpipe...no mufflers

magnaflow 4x9 mufflers

the drone on the highway is very minimal...i don't mind it at all.

my clearance is decent for a 3" setup. one side hangs a bit lower because i had to have the pipes hastily welded up due to an impending Cat 5 hurricane (wilma) last year. a little more tweeking and i think it would have given me better clearance.
as it sits...ive never scrapped on anythign. and we have some reasonable speed bumps around here.

forgot i had this pic. you can see the driverside hangs a bit lower...it's actually due to the inlet pipe to the muffler being a bit out of place.

^^^Looks really good man, do you have anymore pics of vids of it driving? Like in car and outside? I think I'm going to set mine up like yours only with 40 series flowmasters and 2 1/2" instead of 3"

one of these days i'll get to making some more pics. the vid of the car with mufflers is almost silent (shows you how much the car quieted down)...but it really does sound good in person.

I was running the same thing but using Moroso sprial flows and with 6th gear/3.42 gearing the drone between 65-75 was terrible. Sounded awesome the rest of the time, but since most of my driving is right at 70 they had to go.

I am still seriously thinking about the dual X dumped. I need a louder exh. I was going o wait ill I get a cam, but by that time the car will be paid off and I'll have a truck.

I'm gonna go w/ the Dual X w/ Sweet thunders.

Found a ST vid... My buddy has an exh that sounds just like this on his LT1 TA. (Pacesetter LT's ORY and TSP Rumbler over axle single.) I have ridden in that car for long enough to know it's loud as h3ll!

This has: pacesetters, !CATS, x pipe, dual 18" sweet thunder mufflers, over the axle into the CME. THis guy says his is also VERY loud!.. also MS3 cam and heads.

this link has some info and pics.

also where you put the 2 bullets you can hammer that area a little to tuck it in better. this is going to end up where your rear bottom seat cusions (sp?) are so you will not notice it in the car just gain some clearance

^ I had to do that w/ my Y pipe recently. After I installed the new trans, the Y was hitting the floor right near the union from 2 to 1.
