dr.gas cat back lt1

I saw a cat back kit for my 1995 ta lt1 on the
dr.gas website. Has anybody used one?
performance?sound?
Is it a spintech muffler?

Would I gain anything just installing a spintech
muffler?

I mostly want something for sound but if I can add
a little performance that would be great.

Heard of Spintech, but not of that particular company. Do you have a link to the catback?

Hard to say what power increase you might expect if any since they don't tell you what size the pipe is. Without headers I would not expect significant hp increases from a catback or muffler.

Just looked at that picture in the link,it says it's for 98-02 cars and yours is a 95.Have you looked at www.fasttoys.net they have an excellent range of cat-backs for your car.

I thought the cat backs systems were all about the same
thing, (mandrel bent ),just different mufflers?

The price on the dr.gas site is very attractive.

It has all kinds of kits for most years of cars.

I see on the drop-down list it says 93-97,the 93-95 cars require a different cat-back to the 95-97 cars. The earlier cars have a single catalytic converter and the later cars have two.
For $289 you have the choice of Hooker,Edelbrock,Pypes etc.
I am currently waiting for the delivery of my Pypes SGF55 cat-back from the U.S

We have a drag strip a couple of miles out of town,so there are sometimes a few American classics cruising around during the summer months.
I have a buddy with a 95 Trans-am that kicks out 450 bhp, theres a guy with a 90's corvette that lives across the road from me as well,I'd love a vette but the kids won't have anywhere to sit.
I get plenty of admiring glances while I'm driving through town,it's not the most common car around here. The annoying thing is none of the local ricers will race me,can't imagine why

I talked to a sales guy today he said the
cat back is a (Goerlich) I have never heard
of them, he said it is made in the usa.

Im not sure but they may let you order it with
a different muffler.

Goerlich pypes and spintech muffler.

I'll let you know what I think of my Pypes exhaust if it ever arrives. You can find a sound clip of it on this website www.pypesexhaust.com.
All the best,Mark Brand.
P.S click on the 94 stock V8 TA sound-clip.

The price is alright, but with such a vague product description, it is hard to tell exactly what kind of product you will receive. For another 50 bucks, there are a handful of name brand, proven catbacks you can choose from.
