daily driver: what is most non rice sounding muffler for ecotec

I just got a Saturn Vue for a daily driver with the 2.2 ecotec and the 5sp manual and I am tring to upgrade the intake and exhaust to get better efficiency and mileage.
No company currently makes an intake or exhaust for the vue, so I am fabricating my own.

I want to replace all the exhaust from header to tail pipe but I am not sure who makes a muffler that will not be too loud and non ricer sound.
I cant stand the ricer fart cans and certainly dont want my vue to sound like that while flooring it around town.

I am thinking maybe a Magnaflow 5x9 inch or a hooker aerochamber or something

Anyone here put a muffler on an ecotec before?

Hmmm... probably just a muffler won't make it sound ricy. Add a header and your talkin' rice city. But overall I'm inclined to agree with the above poster. Leave it alone, it has no current or potential performance value. What's the point?

I would go for a small Flowmaster. http://www.supertrapp.com/product_se...auto/index.asp

Or go with the tunable Super Trapp. They are expensive but made my V-6 Fiero sound like a V-8. It would probably bring out the deep growl in your 4 cyl

EDIT: OK the Flowmaster is the 60 series for compact

Here is the Super Trapp on my Fiero
