Cutout where cat is at?

Ive been searching through threads and see that most people mount their cutout under the rear seat in the I pipe. However I dont really want to cut into my catback and I still have the stock headers and y pipe. So i was seeing if there is a way to mount it in place of the cat. The front flange on the cat looks more oval than circular so will i need to get an aftermarkey y-pipe or just adapt the stocker? Is this doable?

Yeah its doable, but you probably won't be able to take it to a well known shop like Mieneke they won't touch your cat, you will probably need to take to a small mom and pop exhaust shop to do that.
