I am about to put sum headers and ORY on my ss and put a borla xr1 muffler on it . Right now i have my exhaust dumped before the axle. So if i leave it dumped would it be pointless to get electric cutouts. I would really like to get thm because of the awesome sound and surprise factor but dont want it to be a waste if my car is already dumepd.

 

you will be amazed oh how more loud it is with a cutout, id say go for it. just make sure its electric so you dont have to get under the car to open it.

 

I had to move the dump to after the axle on my 99 because there wasnt enough room with an SLP loudmouth and the e-cutout in there. But with my Hooker Headers and ORY, It's a ground pounder . I rarely ever close my e-cutout! I say go for it.

 

Or you could just run your headers thru a true dual setup, that would sound real nice.
