Corvette Manifolds vs F-Body Manifolds
Im looking into a budget turbo kit and need to know those of you who have experience with both corvette manifolds and f-body manifolds on the lt1. Which ones flow better? i assume the corvette ones just cuz of the $50k name. but also, which have better spark plug access? i notice the corvette ones have better accessability to the bolts. since the bolts arent next to the primaries but more flush with them. well just looking for feedback on this. thanks.

The Vette LT1 manifolds have better plug access without a doubt since the "log" portion of the manifold is under the ports instead of on the top like the F-Body. My 327 Chevelle had this style manifold and you could change plugs in about 10 minutes. I doubt they'd fit in an F-car because of the k-member location. I'm also skeptical thay they would flow significantly better. JMO HTH

well i am doing a turbo kit so theyll be flowing opposite of how they normally flow... so i dont kno if space is gonna be a big deal.... but i bought the ones from the chevelles last week, and im buying a pair of the f-body ones tomorro just to have both and be able to bolt both sets up and see which ones seem better space wise. thanks for the input and ill keep everyone updated in case someone in the future wants this info. lol

I have both an LT1 Camaro and an LT4 Corvette. Without a doubt, the Corvette manifolds have to flow better. I think the Corvette LT4 manifolds are also even better than the Corvette LT1 manifolds, but probably very difficult to find.
As far as plug access, I think the Corvette manifolds are easier. However, it is difficult to compare apples to apples here. The F-body cars, you have to reach between the inner fenderwell and engine block (along with lots of other things) to get to the plugs. On the Corvette, with the clamshell hood open, the plugs are much more accessible, I'm not sure how much of this is due to the manifolds themselves though. I think mostly it's just the car itself that makes the plugs easier to get to on the vette.
In summary, get LT4 manifolds if you can find them, otherwise Corvette LT1 manifolds are better than F-body manifolds. Plug access probably marginally better with Corvette manifolds.
