This may sound crazy, but my cat is making loud ticking sounds. The higher I rev up the more it makes. Could there be a piece broken off inside and its just banging around. The car, 95 z28 seems to run ok but the ticking sound is loud.

Yeh it mayb a piece of brick that broke off an is rattling inside...you can always disconnect your cat-back and hollow out your cat!

 

Mine did that. It hollowed it's self out.

 

My 03 silverado did same thing on the pass side cat, it plugged solid the truck would barely run. Had to tow the truck to a shop and replace cat.
