I have a stock 94 Z, the exhaust is leasking so I figure its time for a new one anyway and itd be nice to get rid of the kitty cat sound. ive done some searching and found Ill be going with Hooker LT's, dual bullets 2.5'' dumped and a X pipe. What can I expect as far as power and sound? I think ill do a tune at the same time.

As long as you're not lowered, the LT's will be great. If your car is lowered though, prepare for terrible ground clearance. Should sound good though. Power will be noticeable, although not overwhelming.

Lots of power and cop tempting noise. The x-pipe is a must. The o2 sensors are also very important. Save the money for the tune for when you have cam, heads, injectors.

if you're not planning on doing any of those major mods for a while (heads, cam, sc, nitrous etc) a mail order tune would be a good route. i know that if you get one from madZ28, you can get it retuned by email for like 25 bucks or something. i dont see this as a bad option to maximize the header install.

those bullet mufflers are gonna be stupid loud though, i would look at spiral flow or even 4x9 magnaflow case mufflers to quiet it down a bit. i'll be installing my longtubes/under the axle 2.5" true duals with x pipe, spiral flows, and magnaflow 4x9 case mufflers with custom CME tips withen the next 3 weeks when everything comes in. i'll have clips and pics for everyone when it's done

With the exhaust system in question and a tune, you will definitely notice a SOTP difference.
