Cam/headers + magnaflow?

Right now, i have a 224/230 cam, AS&M headers, high flow cat, and cut-out. I like the relatively loud idle, but the car drives me nuts driving around with the rattles/drones esp with the gears.

I'm looking for something that can potentially maintain at least a deep lopey rumble, if not loud idle, yet will cut down alot on the drone and rattles throughout the car driving around.

What I don't want to do though, is go too quiet. Anyone have a similar setup but with a magnaflow catback? How does it sound? other suggestions?

How is the gmmg driving around? is there a drone at cruising speed? does it still rattle the hell out of the call? I know thats an expensive exhaust, so id prob find it used if possible. hows the lope sound with the gmmg with your cam?

The Magnaflow does a good job of keeping things tame at idle and the lower rpm range. When you mash the gas though, it really comes alive.

if u are keeping the cats the drone should be minimal. i have no cats and i really dont get a whole lot of drone but the exhauts is pretty loud. With cats it should be have a nice tone and not loud at idle. Once u open it up it will come alive and be one of the best sounds uve heard.

The magnaflow system is also a pretty nice system. It was one of choices. But im the type of person who always looks for the best (best being in my opinion).

As far as rattles. I dont get a whole lot of it. But it is an f-body and they do rattle.
Theres only two places u need to look at when it comes to cat backs. Check to c if the Over the axle pipe is touching the car and if the muffler/s are touching the heat sheild for the gas tank.

i had one of the pipes for the GMMG touching the heat shield but a hammer did the trick and no more annoying rattle. When it comes to fitment , every car is different,

good luck with ur choice. Both are very good exhaust. The best is just personal opinion.

i wish i had a sounclip for u but my idle is actually pretty choppy for this smaller cam. Prolly cuz the exhaust is just a straight through system. It is very noticeable that i have a cam tho
