A TD setup should yield you better gains, and a better sound IMO.

depends on the power level you are at.

on a bolt on car...minimal. just better sound and cheaper.

on a cam or h/c engine...could easily be 10+ hp

Borla with an electric plate so you can open it up when you want.

I would just go with a nice used stainless system. I've had a Borla and its a nice system. I wanted to make a change and went with a Corsa as the tips look 10x better. I would definitely go with used though. I bought my Corsa for $450 from a local guy and my old Borla I paid $275 shipped for it so I've had both systems for less than you can buy either of them new. If you do go with a Borla I suggest an E-borla plate. That way you can tune on the fly. I also totally disagree with the Borla being an overpriced cut out.

I have Borla on my Z in my sig. I couldn't be happier. However, Magnaflow is also stainless and won't ever rust, + it should give you almost the same if not the same power gains as the Borla and is much less both used and new.

Loudmouth lives up to its name. It is friggin obnoxiosly loud! But if thats what you are going for, thats what you should get.

Corsa, and B&B Tri-flow are also excellent alternatives to the Borla, but will cost you even more.

Here's a video of my Z at idle with my Borla back when I was N/A. Headers were Hooker LT's, Hooker Y-pipe into the Borla.
