1997 Z28 Mid-Tube Pacesetter help

has anyone put in pacesetter mid-tubes on their car? If you do how did you do it without lifting the engine. I tried going underneath the car but kept getting hung up. I'm think about taking out the heads and doing that way but i don't want to chance having to buy head gaskets again and possibly another bolt kit. And i made my own egr block off plates, will that make the engine run crappy or have just a light come on.

zI've never installed Pacesetters, but have done a lot of headers. You may have to lift the motor, which is easy. Place apiece of wood on the jack and support the oil pan. Then remove the bolt from each side. Once the retaining bolt is out start lifting the motor a few inches. They should slip right in after that.
