1997 camaro- where can i get a stock header cat-less y pipe from?

1997 camaro- where can i get a stock header cat-less y pipe from?

i am looking for a 3" y pipe with out cats for stock exhaust manifolds...... i cant find them anywhere............ is there anyone tht custom makes them? i really would like to do this until I can order my hooker lt's and y pipe...... i blieve them factory cats being 10 years old is hlding back a little power. i have simulators in hand.. i just have t programmed and 3.73's and ran a 13.90... but think theres more there.....

i really dont think its going to help any. Take the y-pipe off, take the cats off, hollow them out and weld in a piece of pipe inside the cat (if u have visual inspection), otherwise just take the cat off and weld a piece of pipe in place of that cat. I wouldnt really worry about it until you get headers and need a ORY

whats a ory? well i didnt want to remove the flange from the drivers cat because of bolts that been on there for 10 years i believe i will just cut the pipe and gut it and weld a pipe for the pass. side.... until i get my lt's....... i cant wait

stainless works in summit, I had one on my slp shorties.. very nice y pipe. stock pipe is total junk

ORY - off road y pipe....ie...no cats.

and i think i just saw in the newest Jegs catalog...i think on the back cover...some new company selling the ypipe replacements.

I'd save the money from the aftermarket y-pipe towards your long tube setup and just have a 30 dollar cutout put on. It will add a decent gain and it is cheap and easy.
