June 18th and 19th F-Body Thunder in the North!
This is it Thunder In The North brought to you by the Northeast Ohio Fbody Association. Get you cars ready cause this is going to be one hell of a weekend.It is going to take place June 18th and 19th.
What's going on :
June 18th : Barbeque starting at 12 p.m. at a Cleveland Metroparks site not yet designated just have to figure out which one we will use. We have a couple in mind, we just have to go look at the sites to figure out which will suit us best but we already paid to reserve them, just a matter of picking the site. After the BBQ will be a cruise to a local car show which we should have our own space reserved. From there probably home, hotel, or party wherever one may jump off [Probably Leo's house].
June 19th : PUT UP OR SHUT UP!!! We have reserved Dragway 42 [www.dragway42.com] for the day, just f-bodies, nobody else. Also we will have a dyno at the track brought to you by LS1 Source [www.LS1source.com] . There will be trophies awarded for Fastest E.T. Overall, best MPH overall, burnout contest winner, and Best Dyno Pull [based on RWHP] Possibly more to come.
There will be a 50/50 Raffle, and a raffle good for $500 in products or services of LS1 Source. Concession stands including Nitrous fill station will be open.
Fees :
$10 - Just for Saturday BBQ
$5 - spectators fee at track [paid at the track only]
$30 - Saturday BBQ and race on Sunday
$40 - Covers meal at BBQ, track fee, and 1 dyno pull w/ air to fuel printed out.
- each additional dyno pull when prepaid is $10 paid on site to dyno operator.
If dyno session is not prepaid one pull will cost $40 and 3 pulls will cost $60 at the track. [So it is really worth it for the extra $10 in the package]
LS1 source is also offering a discount on a full dyno tune for that week regular $500 they are taking $50 off for the week of June 13 - 19th.
Leo is currently working on getting group hotel discounts through his aunts travel agency this will updated by the end of the week. He is also currently in talks GM High Tech Performance Magazine on covering the event, and talking to other vendors [such as Corsa, SLP, etc...about setting up at the event and offering some discounts or something... will be also updated.]
If we get enough of a demand we may have t-shirts made for the event that will be for sale at the track. [So if you want them tell us]
All prepayments should be sent via PayPal to RamAir96@aol.com. [Your Pay Pal Receipt will be receipt for entry.] If you do not have a credit card and can only send money order email for more info.
