Post Those that know me, check this out:=)

My brother just acquired:

1979 Datsun 240ZX
built 400 SBC, made 426/475 at the fly when dynoed.
Victor JR. intake
.510 lift hydraulic cam (don't recall the duration)
Fully worked cast iron heads (not sure which casting)
hooker custom LT headers and a single exaust about the diameter of a sewer pipe
KB pistons, MSD ignition, complete BG fuel system, 750 Holley DP, moroso blue max wires, huge Griffin radiator w/electric fan.
Built TH350 w/9-inch ATI 2800 TC
and some other stuff I can't recollect at the moment. He got a steal on it too
We drove it around for a litle while the other night. It has gone mid 7s in the 1/8 with the previous owner driving on the stock IRS and street tires. The thing is a blast on the street. He will prolly bring it out later this week or this weekend. Looks like I have some catchin up to do
later y'all,
D.

what color is it? was the owner an old lookin dude with gray hair?

there was one at WCS last year in the street class, i remember it because my brother put him out the 1st and 2nd round I wouldn't think there would be many of those things around. I dont recall the color, i'd have to ask jon, but i do remember it had some HUGE street tires on it and it ran mid 7's

Its red. It has M/T "Indy Profile S/S" 14 inch rear tires. The damn thing actually hooks pretty well. Chances are that you did not see this car. It was only ran once or twice at a tnt session at Benson. However, it may be in attendance next time the crew heads out to 'Nam later this summer. He really wants to see what it will do in the quarter and on a better track.

Thumbs up

That sounds like a very cool car! I looked at a couple of 1rst gen rx7 conversions, but none that were as "worked out" as this car sounds like it is.

Hahahahahahahaha. Come on now can't be that loud. And there is no way you heard me when I was going down Us1. So how did it sound as I was going down the road in front of the village? I don't know when I'll be back out there. Going to the beach this weekend. So it will be a lil bit.
