Exclamation Selling my car...

This probably doesn't come as a surprise to many of the members of this section who know me, but here goes.

Between work, limited time, the purchase of a house, and changing priorities (Chuck and Jeremy know exactly what I'm talking about), I'm pretty much exiting the car scene. The first move in this direction was the selling of my modified Eclipse about 7 months ago, and this is the second such move. I'm still going to post on CZ28.com and keep in touch with people, but probably won't be racing or modifying cars.

Many people here know my car, know that it's relatively quick, is one of a kind, and that it's been very well maintained. I'd like to see it go to a good home, so I thought I'd post it here. It's on autotrader and will sell due it's condition and very reasonable pricing, but I'd rather see it go to an enthusiast than to a 16 year old kid who is going to wrap it around a tree. I've got too much blood, sweat, money, love and tears in this car to see that happen.

Disclaimer:Patrick and the other moderators, this isn't the typical "for sale but I'm in the wrong forum post" but more of an informational post to the guys and gals in this forum. Many of the SE section members know me personally and have expressed varying interest levels in my car in the past. Thanks in advance for not moving this post to the "for sale" forum.

Rich

Sorry to hear you getting out of the car scene, but you have to set priorities.

How much are you asking for it and how many miles does it have?

Randy: $10,500 and 68k miles. The complete details can be found here:

91&95: Yeah. It's sad, but like Churchill said about alcohol, "I've gotten a lot more out of cars than cars have gotten out of me." I might eventually get back in to them, but right now I'm focusing on a different set of priorities. Thanks for the luck on the sale.

Sorry to hear you're letting it go, but I more than understand.

Good luck and hope to see you in another one before too long.

Drake: Either an Audi S4 (2000 or 2001) or a four door BMW M3 (1997 or 1998). I've decided that I want something that is quiet, must have a manual transmission, must be either rwd or awd, must have four doors and must be at least semi-quick. Given my price range and the above specs, these are about the only two cars available. The WRX was briefly considered, but that car is just too hideous to drive.

Mike: An fbody might definitely be in my future as a second car. I'm definitely intruiged by the Holdens that will be imported to the US and want to check them out when they finally arrive.

sorry to see it go, but know you have been thinking about it for a while. The 93's are becoming scarce. I can only think of one other running 93...Bob. The others are gone or MIA.

My excuse for keeping the beast is that I don't want a car payment.

Bump to the top w/ a price reduction.

I've had interest from 16 year old types, but that's not who I'm looking to sell this car to.

SuperSound99SS: Thanks for the compliment.

I see you know what I'm talking about though. I personally don't think 16 year olds and these type of cars mix. I couldn't sell my fbody to one with a good conscious and I don't want to have any regrets about this car. It's been amazing, and with the right owner will continue to be a great, great car.

The Nitto's are 245's on the stock salad shooters.

Well Im a college student gettin ready to goto ECU. The 73 still needs work(body and paint) and just don't have the time i need to finish her. Plus at 8-10 mpg she really not practical for city driving. Thats why i got the SS, has creature comforts, much better mileage, and a easier to drive in town. If anyone is interested here's a link so you can see what its got my '73 Camaro

asking $6000 for it....thx guys

Whoa, are you selling a set of nittos aside from the car? If so im intreted....
Will they fit a 245/50/16 size rim?

Also, thats a bad *** car, if i was in the market i deffiently would look at it but i already have my babey. I know how you want it to find a good mature owner and not someone who will trash it. but i bought my 1st 1991 Z28 when i was 16 and took awsome care of it. So dont think any 16 year old will trash it.....
