Thanks everyone!!! Dad is doing pretty good. He went under the knife thursday morning and had triple bypass and a valve repair. He was alittle slow getting off of the respirator because he had alot of liquid in his lungs and he smoked a couple packs a day. He woke up friday night/saturday morning and the breathing tube came out saturday morning around 6:30. Today he walked across the ICU room and they put him back in a regular room. He should be home by the end of the week Anyway High Point Reginal has a great cardio unit

Mikie, My mom had open heart surgery 30 years ago to repair a hole in the heart and a damaged valve. Dad was with her then and saw all that went on afterwards with physcial therapy and such. I think that it helped him alittle knowing things have gotten better over the years.

Well the Draper family is sleeping alittle easier tonight.
