Post Movin'

I'm moving from Houston,Texas to Raleigh, NC, and I have now idea what it's like. I am bringing my Z up there also. Anyboy know what the emmission laws are before I do anything to my car? I am going to up there for about 2 yrs., and I just wanted to know about where I'm going to be living. Is street racing strong there or do the cops practically own the streets? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Do you what you like to your car, don't worry about the emissions Learn that you can't race every ricer that throws a rev your way; If you did you'd be racing all night long on the weekends. Found out were Capital Blvd is and ride through on the weekend nights; Otherwise, learn where the Cary boys hangout (see other threads in this forum)...

Just learn to face that State has way more guys than girls and Chapel Hill is vice versa; Other than that, Welcome!!

Question

Thanks for the info. How far of a drive is Raleigh from other places. I'm so used to 4 hour road trips, that I'mm not bothered by long drives. What's the avg. speed limit? Is it 55 like it is in Texas? How are the roads? Does it snow up there at all? Sorry about all the questions, I just am eager to know what it's like when I move up there. Where are the best places to races? Thanks for all the help.

The beach and mountains are within easy driving distance. The speed limit ranges anywhere from 55 to 70 on most highways. We usually get about one or two signifigant (more than a centimeter) snowfalls per year, nothing major. Plenty of places to find races around here, just drop us a line on this board when you get here.
Why are you coming to Raleigh? When are you arriving?

Oh, and don't listen to BJ about NCSU. He may not act like it, but he knows what's really up

I'm moving up there for Navy training. I'll be up there for 2years, and they said I could bring my Z. I'll be driving my Z up there in about 9 weeks from October 16, so that should be around christmas. If all goes well, I should have my Z.
