Jackson Dragway

Im the head tech official at Jackson Dragway in Jackson Tn.I've got a really good heads up drag radial and radial tire programs together. They do really good, but it's 95% mustangs that show up.I would love to see a better f-body showing. If some interest is shown I'll post rules. It's a really nice and hookin 8th mile track. These classes will pay money.20 dollars enters you in the race and also gets you in to whatch all the other heads up stuff like super street O/L,E/Zstreet,Limited street, and all the other things we have going on.We have people like Gary Rohe,Tim Lynch,Chris Derrick, and Lawrence Conley that come race with us.

I plan on showing up this year at some races, but it's a 2 hour drive for me.

Street drag radial is going to be around 7:50's prob.Outlaw drag radial will be close to 6:40's or so.Sure would like to get more f-bodys involved. We'll also have heads-up index classes, and a heads-up radial tire class.

is the dragway still open after all the tornados? I saw some
photo shots on the site, but I didn't see the start tree.

Trees, however, were down everywhere. I plan on taking my
beast to the dragway (I live up off of campbell in jackson)
as soon as I get her built...

not sure what she'll run, though, in the 1/4th i'm expecting
mid 11's N/A...

not sure what that'd be in the 1/8th, but i'm kinda curious as
to the competition out here, havn't been to a race yet..

We used to drive 2 hrs. 15 min. each way to run in the street program at Rockingham Dragway. It was a great program and an excellent track (at the time). Did it almost every week for 3 years! Not many tracks do much for street tire cars. If you want these types of programs to continue you need to go and support them.

Too bad it isn't Jackson, South Carolina... Still a 2 hr. drive, but I'd be there!

Thumbs down

Jackson Dragway sucks! If you start dominating one of their classes, they'll change the rules next time so you can no longer run that class. That place is pretty much run by those mustang guys. Besides, test and tune is full of Z71 trucks dragging water across the finish line so you can't ever practice launching. May as well race on the street, the conditions are the same. That track is like an ice skating ring.
