Does anyone get together in the Concord Mills area, 2 miles from Lowe's Motor Speedway?

Just curious, we've got a sportbike group that goes on weekly dinner rides, but has at least one monthly gathering at Hooters off Speedway Blvd. (exit 49 on 85).

With all the restaurants to choose from & the fact that this is practically one of a handful of motorsports mecca's in the country... I'd think that it wouldn't be too tough to make something happen .

On tuesdays when the weather is nice, there's a cruise-in a few miles north of LMS off HWY 29 in the "old walmart shopping center" across from Ben Mynatt chevrolet. 5:30ish pm until dark... there's usually 100-300cars there. Keep in mind, this is mostly older people with killer restored rides etc., so if you're wanting to come rev and try to do burnouts and make an *** of yourself... this isnt the place for you. Plotting to do that kinda stuff is great.. we can go elsewhere and run/play.. but not there, lest the police start breaking it up

I live a few miles from the speedway, and i'd be willing to hangout this weekend. Too bad it's my last weekend in Charlotte.

 

Usually myself and a few others organize a yearly trip out there. Last time we went we hit Hooterville on Speedway then headed off to the Hendrick Motorsports museum for some pics.

Its been a while, so I am thinking maybe we can all make a trip there early spring.
