Question Anyone been to Rockingham since they resurfaced it?

It's supposed to have been resurfaced with some new state-of-the-art paving. Just wondering if it was as good as their old sticky track - like it was in the mid to late 90's when Warren Johnson said it was the smoothest and stickiest track he'd ever raced on?

Thanks for your response. It's not what I was hoping to hear though Do you know if they prepped the track at all with any VHT? A lot of times they don't on Friday night because Steve's too cheap

Hey Mark, I was out there Friday night also. Granted I was in the truck, but it didn't seem any better than it usually is. Friday night prep, what's that? I'll see you at Tubby's.

Hey guys! We all know that TnT nights are a no-go on VHT, so we'll just have to wait for a big race to tell if the track is any better. I'll be there for the Holcomb race next month.

Hey Chris,
Yeah, we plan on being at Tubby's - probably in one or our trucks too What happened to your water pump? Geez, that car must have a jinx on it or something.

Hey Randy,
Yeah, I know that Friday T&T has never had much track prep, but I was hoping that with the new surface that maybe - just MAYBE - Steve would squirt at least a little sticky stuff on it. Oh well....

Btw, what Holcomb race next month?

Later

Okay, you threw me when you said "next month". I thought you were talking about September. FF in the Fall isn't until the end of October I didn't realize they let non-Ford cars run. Is open comp 1/8 or 1/4 mile?

My bad Mark, I was thinking it was already Sept. Open comp is the only class that non-fords can run. It's run on a pro tree 1/4 mile and they allow T-brakes, which makes it hard to compete but I love a challenge. It a pretty decent race if you can stomach being around all those fords, yuck. Later.
