WSS/AC Voltage

RE: 93 Camaro LT1 + ABS Problem

I have a specific ABS Problem but my first question I need answered is this...

In regards to any wheel speed sensor.....does the air gap between the reluctor ring and the magnetic pick up directly affect AC voltage??

Basically, if there is too great of an air gap, can the AC voltage generated not be sufficient

Greater the air gap = minimal ability for WSS to pick up a reading

?

Thanks

nevermind the voltage and wiring....i think i may have found the problem........i pulled the rear abs sensor out of the diff. and the pick-up ring is off center so when the abs sensor is installed, the small magnet is not directly above the reluctor......it's almost 1/4" or 3/16" off center.....is it possible to press a reluctor pick-up too far onto a ring gear?

aka had the rear done just about the same time my abs problem came about
