WS6 rims don't fit WS6 rearend!?!?

Last night I swapped out my stock 2.73 rearend for a 96 WS6 rearend.

Everything went in flawlessly for once, UNTIL I tried to put on the rims. They didn't fit!? It took 10+ minutes to get the drivers side rim flush against the rotor and the passenger side took longer and two bolts came loose. So now I've only got 3 working lugs and the two are right next to each other.

My biggest problem is WHY??
Why don't the rims fit on the hubs? They were made to go on this rearend and they don't fit. THey fit perfectly on my stock rearend and the rotors went on the exact same way and had the same clearance on the hubs. Why is it doing this? I'm afraid to take it to a shop for them to "fix" and have them not tighten it down all the way.

HELP!!?

Over the years there were two different size rear hubs. For whatever reason, your combination has the larger hubs with the wheels that fit the smaller hubs. You just need to slightly clearance the inside of the wheel where the hub goes in. It is a very common thing to have to do. BTW, DO NOT force the wheels on with the lugs. You can strip the lugs, nut or damage the wheel.

Too late for that. I'm going to get my dremel back and grind out the inside I guess.

There's a post in the "Wheels and Tires" forum FAQ explaining the reason. Shoebox also has a 'fix' on his site.

Not that I don't believe you, but I don't see what you are talking about here. Maybe I'm blind or something.

You were clearly told it was in the Wheels and Tires FAQ.
Was it not a problem with the wheels fitting?
Please. Be more rude. It's great.

Calm your beard.

All I'm saying is it should be in the rearend FAQ, either as well or instead.

When I have a problem with my new rearend not working with my old stock rims I'm not going to look in the tire section. That's all I'm saying. No need to get pissy.

Have a nice day.

What the hell are you talking about? You obviously took something the wrong way, I want trying to offend. I was only joking and it wasn't even directed at you. I tried to put a smiley on there but I was typing on my phone at the time.
