(Wrong section I know) Need quick answer about bent CLUTCH fork

(Yes I did a search)
Hey guys, sorry I posted this in the wrong section, but I noticed that the drivetrain section wasn't very busy....
I have a customer that is bending and snapping the clutch fork itself.
6 speed camaro, 95 or 96 I believe.
HELP!
What causes this and is there an aftermarket replacement?
Thanks.

That's because people don't post there when they should.

You can try the clutch fork from a Dodge Viper since they use the same transmission. It is a better version made of stronger material.

Geez I just got done putting the M6 in my car and I found that the clutch fork was a pretty stout piece. In fact it is hard to imagine how he could bend this without breaking his slave or master cylinder. I know I installed my fork wrong the first time and the slave just blew all to bits on me before anything else broke.

Sorry I can't help much but perhaps my thinking out loud will help jump start your thinking processes and you will discover the answer to your problem.

I just sheared mine in half about two weeks ago. The clutch fork is usally not the culprit, but just the symptom of a tranny problem. I ordered a replacement one from gm after looking around for a stronger part. The gm clutch fork is cast from the same material as the Viper one. Good luck.
