Would you be interested in a Ford 8.8" or 9" rear end?

There is a guy in my town that regularly chops up Ford 8.8s or Ford 9" rears, puts moser axles and a torque arm mount on them and sells them locally.

I'm thinking about going into business with him and selling them for him on the net.

How much would you pay for an empty 8.8" or Ford 9" housing with all the right brackets and TQ arm mount?

How much for a complete rear filled with axles, gears, etc?

This is what he can do:

This thread is just to see if there is any interest and what people would be willing to pay.

If there is enough interest, I'll get a merchant account from the Admin before taking any orders.

Well, isn't that a version of the welded on torque arm mount that was notorious for failing?

No complaints up here.

Do you have pics of the kind that failed?

You all need to work up a price and release it and see what the feedback is.

You'd definitely need to beat the prices of the well-known Moser & Strange rears available through a variety of vendors.

... and offer discounts to Canadians

No pics, but that is damn similar to the old extreme setup, that had their issues back in the day and the company stopped making them and closed...

The pics you have are almost identical to the old pics that are taken down from this thread many years ago, but I haven't heard too many people complaining except when they went under.

BTW, there are prices there of what extreme was selling them for...
