Will an LT1 aftermarket shifter work in an LS1 car?

Anyone know if an aftermarket shifter out of an LT1 car will work in or is the same as the ones for the LS1 cars?

Yeah, the T56 shifters are all the same . One from a '93 will work in an '02 .

... by "same" I mean per LT1 / LS1 ... obviously each specific shifter (factory, B&M, Pro-5.0) is different, some better, some worse .

Which aftermarket shifter? The factory Hurst (which you have, according to your sig) is pretty darn good.

My Hurst is an aftermarket one. I was just wondering (because the car is currently for sale) if I sold the car, and took the shifter from it, if I could use it in an LS1 car.
