I was talking to a buddy of mine and he said that Ford 3.73 gears and 7.5 ring gear would work in my camaro. I know that I can get GM 3.73 gears and 7.5 ring gear for my chevy. The theory makes since, but I just didnt know if they were cut different per ford and chevy. If someone could clear this up I would apprecaite it.

I highly doubt it. I'm sure the amt of bolts on ring gear are diff and diff, spacing. Also the length of the pinion gear i doubt is the same too.

different pinion and carrier bearings, pinion seal,crush sleeve, ring gear bolt pattern, pinion offset from centerline of differential,cover pan bolt pattern,pinon flange is a 4 bolt flange and gm uses a u-joint with straps,bolt pattern on alxe studs. i think i got them all? any questions, i work at AAM. keep buying GM trucks, keep me in a job. thanks...
