will a 88 gm 1/2ton 4l60 trans fit in a 95camaro

i got a 95 camaro wit the 4l60e but trans pump busted when new motor got put in but i got a 88 gm truck 1/2ton 4l60 will it work in this car or how can i make it work

It will fit but the torque converter and the way it applies is different. Will not work for long
