Why do my gears grind when i jump on it?

I have a 96 z28 with a 6 spd. If i jump on it and shift to 2nd 3rd or 4th there is a grinding noise. I've never stayed in it to 5th or 6th. I push the clutch all the way to the floor every time. Is the grinding because the clutch isn't disengauging all the way maybe and if so how do i fix. I just want to know what the problem is and how to fix it.

Thanks

Sounds like your blocker rings are worn out.

How do you check if the cluth is not disengaging all the way?

its probably your synchronizers, ive had that problem, i spent $2500 to fix it but if you can fix it yourself, or have someone you know fix it, you will pay about 1/10 of that.

You could have bought another T56 for less than that!
