LS1speed.com has some that are suppose to take a lot of Hp and Tq but am not sure what exactly they will hold. I am getting my tranny built for 600+ hp locally for 1200$ . But I am also buying tranny cooler, deeper tranny pan, shift kit and midwest 3600 stall TC. My total is about 2000$

My advice is to go with a local shop that will warranty anything that goes wrong. When I mean locally I am don't mean chains like AAMCO. I took mine to AAMCO for a basic rebuild and it lasted 4 months...They rebuilt it for free..but it last about another month and had to get it rebuilt for the 3 time...free also.. now my warranty is up and time for a real tranny.

Your best bet is a local trustworthy shop. I had mine done for 1450.00. Dont know how much abuse it will take but I'll find out once it goes

Don't think that's the best way to find out unless you're last name is Rockafeller.

there is a local tranny shop with the same name. My girl had to take her sunfire back 4 times until they got it right. Not saying the shop was negligent, I just think sunfires suck. They also didn't give us a hard time

It's not the same shop, trust me. As a matter of fact, Pro Built is one of the sponsors up here... There is only one real Pro Built and they're in California!!!

That incident kinda swayed me into not getting my trans done there. Not that I didn't trust them, but something just told me not to go there. So I went to a local place that was recomended to me by a co-worker. He told me they used to be a bunch of burn-outs but they build a pretty good transmision right away. I offered them cash and they built me a transmision. That was a year ago and so far it's held up to 330 plus rwhp (I know it's not alot, but!)

Are you talking about Pro Built in Hanover, MA? That shop has no relation with Probuilt.com who is in California. The Hanover Pro Built is supposed to be a very good shop, but then again I've heard better things about Probuilt.com. Good luck and I highly recommend Probuilt.com

I am talking about the one In Hanover MA. I've also heard good things about them, that's why we took her car to get her transmission rebuilt, But something about the valve body kept screwing up. So we had to take it back 4 times. Her sunfire was also a lemon so I really don't hold it against Pro-Built.

No offense to the other guys but nothing compares to FLP. If you want a A4 that is currently running in 9 second cars.
www.flp2win.com

And they are comimg out with a Level 5 soon
That thing will probably hold 8's!

After having automatic problems I went with Accurate transmissions. They are sold through Advance Auto. I have the level one 4L60E that they told me would take pretty much whatever I throw at it. I told them what I have done already and what I have planned and they sent me this wonderful transmission. The best part is that it has a 18 month UNLIMITED mile warrenty! It covers racing too!
Ive had it for about 4 months now with no problems at all. It shifts really nice too a little harder than stock but not too hard. It was like 2000 bucks but there was also a core charge of I think 300 or so. Im really happy with it.
