LS1 mount. 67-02 tranny mounts are the same I believe so LS1/LT1 wouldn't matter.

I ran my poly mount for awhile and the vibrations on the highway are just too much.....the LS1 mount has no vibrations and hasn't broken yet (has been in for about 5-6 months now).

thats one reason i asked, i remember readin lots of posts of people complainin about vibration with the poly mounts.. so i guess ill try an ls1 mount i think i remembered readin that they were a little tougher *shrug* could be wrong though.

But aren't poly mounts supposed to last forever? They just have alot of vibration? Mine is in need of replacement and figured I'd chime in and ask as well...

Re: whats a good trans mount??

Yup...a poly mount will last longer than the car. BUT the vibration was just too much for me....the engine noise and vibration on the highway (anything above 70mph) was just unbearable. If it got to 100mph+, forget about it....I thought the car was going to blow up, that's how LOUD the vibrations were.

The LS1 mount, AFAIK is the same rubber material as the 1LE mount which is no longer in production. Maybe people I know are cutting ~1.4-1.5 60' times with the LS1 mount with no issues....

GM parts dealer. Call Jason Cromer at 1-877-726-8295. He will give it to you at (or near) wholesale cost.

Re: whats a good trans mount??

The LS1 mount is a much stronger piece than the LT1 mount for sure. I saw the one that came out of my buddy's '97 Z28 M6 ..... it was pooched! Only had maybe ~65k miles on it? Mine's got a little less, but it still looks brand new.

I ran the ES poly mount for awhile, but again, I couldn't stand the vibration ... totally unnecessary. Maybe if my car is running in the ~10's or something, but for now ... I'll keep my LS1 mount thanks.

Yep, get the LS1 mount.

My mount broke at 95,000 miles, I bought the Energy Suspension Poly mount, my friend and I installed it perfectly and the vibrations and extremely unbearable. That's $27 down the drain.

I'm probably going to buy a stock mount and put that one back in. This ES mount vibrates my center console and rattles the whole damn car at about 80 MPH or when you really get on it.

I have a energy suspension mount and no noticable new vibrations? Maybe people are having issues with the poor balancing of the factory LT1 driveshafts or something. But i have no problem with mine at any speed.
