What should my Shift Points be?

I have the mods in my sig, minus the Hypertech, I took that crap off. It's hard to tell where the car really shifts at because the tach is off and always says thats its around 6200 when its shifting (at WOT), even though I know its not. I have an A4 obviously and want to know if there is a standard curve for moderately modded cars like mine. If anyone has a similar set up and has already programmed their PCM via Ion, and wants to share their shift points with me that would be awesome. Thanks guys.

If your dyno chart looks like mine, then you should shift at about 6000-6200 rpm. That's my optimal shift points based on my dyno numbers.

my shift points are programmed to shift at my specified mph not rpm. Your rev limiter should be set at about 5800 rpms on a lt1 with stock internals as the production of power stops at about 5800 or so. My car is set to shift at 5800 rpms and the mph's shift points are...

1>2 - 32
2>3 - 62
3>4 - 104

note my sig, i have 3.73 gears.

For a stock engine, 5800 is just about right.

He has headers and other mods similar to me. Shift points are not determined based on where the HP peaks. You can see that my dyno chart shows my HP peaks at 5300 RPM, but my optimal shift points are 6200 rpm.

basically with an a4 leave shift rpm as is unless you have upgraded major engine components such as the cam, crankshaft etc...

ok, thats what I was going to do but I wanted to make sure that I wasn't missing out on power or anything by leaving them as they are. I also have 3.73 gears so how it shifts now seems to be fine.

Thanks!
