What rear end?

I'm kinda new to the whole, 'Real-horsepower and SS-owning' thing. I am getting a little whine from my rear end. I think it needs lube, but it got me thinking about getting a better one. I am pretty sure it is the 3.42 with posi. With the few mods listed below, and possibly a supercharger in my future (couple years) what would be my best bet for laying down most of the horsepower?

Thanks,

John

Re: What rear end?

If you are going to turn up the wick with a 6 speed car I would start looking at 9" or 12 bolts...6 speed cars are hard on rears and there is not much you can do to make 7.5" ring gear last under a lot of power and hard launches. The girdles, bearing studs and solid spacers help, but when you're all done you'll still have a weak ring gear, and that's whats going to break...
