I am building an lt1 up for my dads 86 z28 and using a 6 spd for it. Just wondering if anyone has used the ram clutch possibly the hdx series and if they have had to change hydraulics to adj master cylinder or just using ac delco brand hydraulics for the setup.

I have had an hdx for about 3000 miles now and love it! it can be kind of chattery when cold, but otherwise acts stock as far as pedal feel. it grabs hard though. Mine chirps 4th sometimes with a boltons only engine

ram clutch

i have had one for the summer, but don't drive my car that much. the pedal feel is very light compared to the centerforce i took out. however it does grab hard when the clutch is let go. there is barely any noticable chatter. i also put in a brand new flywheel. when the centerforce was brand new it didn't feel as good as the RAM.

How much power are you planning to make? Track use or just street? I had a HDX and smoked it the first lauch at the track. Now running the powergrip and have no problems so far with 40+ 5500rpm launches. Feels like stock and no chatter with the 3.90 gears.

I have an hdx in my 2000 SS and all i did was change my clutch master to a stock ac delco. pedal is firm. I guess i have about 2,000 miles on the clutch, so far so good. I just wanted something better than the stock clutch.
