I am wondering what to do in my situation, My 6th gear is gone. I was on my way home today and I was on the freeway and I shifted from 5th to 6th as usual and it was hard to get it in gear, once i got it in gear finally it pops out and makes a buzzing sound like when you get off the clutch to early in a shift. So my question is what do i do, do i have to get the whole thing rebuilt or can 6th just be fixed? will it do more damage to the rest of the tranny while i drive the car without using 6th?
