What do I need to make this rear fit?

I found a Ford 9" for sale locally for $1350. Its out of a 69 camaro. Exactly what I'm looking for, but what all would be involved in converting it to fit my car? It probably doesn't have ABS, no big deal. I'm thinking it would need all new brackets and probably involve a lot of work but I want to double check first.

Many things need to be looked at. I'm not sure of the rear end width of a 69 but that could be an issue. Your going to need a torque arm bracket and have it mounted to the housing. Spring location and shock mounts will be an issue. If the 69 rear has drum brakes in the back you will have to swap for your disk brakes. To me $1350 sounds high for a 9 inch for rear end. If it was an aftermarket unit like Strange or Moser I could see that price. Does it have a posi unit, locker, spool? For around 2K you can have a new rear that is made for your car, just keep that in mind.

I would get more details on it, but most likely it is not going to work for your application. There were many differences in the chassis/suspensions between the first and fourth gen platforms. Considering the cost involved, you would be better off buying one brand new delivered to your door that will bolt right up.
