Weak Trans and 3200 stall??

Okay here is the deal........my Camaro is up for the winter........it is leaking trans fluid. It's only a little puddle bout 8 inches across. I want to install a 3200 stall to cut 1/4 times down. So what i am wondering is will the 3200 stall make the trans go out quicker or is the leaking just because it's been sitting and the seals are leaking. It wasn't slipping or anything......so you think it would be okay to run the 3200?? With trans cooler of course

well in general a high stall will shorten the life of a tranny somewhat even with a cooler...theres just plain more abuse put on drivetrain parts with the harder hitting converter...

In the majority of cases a high stall small diameter torque converter will increase the life due to less mass on the WOT upshifts. Yours might be a torque converter drain back leak from sitting, it overfills the transmission, thereby causing this. Look at the level on the dipstick? Not commom though.

I'll probably still do it. It is barely leaking.....it's near the tailshaft.....friend said it might be seal. Buit it woulc be running along the trans case and be near the front. DOn't think it's that bad to be concerned with.....plate size total....after soaking in.....and it's been sitting for months
