Washer for torque arm?

After doing a clutch job I noticed a washer had fallen off of the torque arm or rear end couldnt tell where it went or why there was just one. But it went on one of those huge bolts that go attach the TA to the rear end. Which one does it go on, and does it go on the top where the nut is? Ive been driving it for a while but every once in a while I get a pop from back there on takeoff.

The bolt goes through the bottom and the fastener nut goes on the top.

Stock, the bolt goes in from the top and the nut and washer are on the bottom.

For safety factor, I would recommend that the bolts be installed as Shoebox points out above. This way if the nuts work loose, you won't loose a torque arm (at least right away)

I'll have to agree on that, and that's how I installed my Spohn TA.
